A collective intelligence oriented three-layer framework for socialized and collaborative product design

Socialized and collective intelligence oriented product design (SCPD) is a new kind of pattern emerged under the context advanced internet technologies sharing economic trend. It usually carried out by large numbers socialized self-driven participators from different social backgrounds in an open, sharing, self-organized, distributed, collaborative manner. These characteristics bring SCPD with advantages such as rich resources, high innovation potentials, deep connection customer-centric markets, etc., but also cause problems low efficiency reliability during process SCPD. To mitigate these problems, three-layer framework established. The first layer focuses on task decomposition subtask analysis. second generating alternative solutions for subtasks using customized Blackboard model. third identifying most preferred solution fuzzy VIKOR algorithm driven consensus reaching able to support orderly interaction, mutual inspiration, group decision making, participation stimulation among participators. In this way, provides more systematic efficient approach utilize CI SPs design, thus enlarges application scope software small-scale physical products relatively complicated high-value products. operability demonstrated through innovative 3D printer project.
